Chances are you may never have heard of the term trigger lead before today.

How To Do a Property Search

Every potential home buyers should do a property search before making an offer.

It continually amazes me that some home buyers don’t ask for background information on a property before writing an offer. It’s as though they don’t want to get the best price possible. At the very least, a buyer should find out:

  1. How long the seller has owned the property
  2. How much the seller originally paid
  3. How much is owed against the property

To do a property search, a buyer has a large variety of options available, including utilizing the services of his or her real estate agent. ItÂ’s a good idea for buyers to find out how long the home has been on the market, whether itÂ’s been relisted at any point and if the seller has reduced the price along the way. Because all this data will make a difference and affect how much a buyer might offer for the property. For example, if the seller paid more for the property than its asking price, the seller might be under duress to sell. WouldnÂ’t a buyer want to know that information? . . . read more about how to do a Property Search.
